Job summary

Eastwall is seeking a Cloud Data Architect to work with Enterprise Architecture and Technology Leadership to plan, build, and implement modern data infrastructure in the Azure cloud. You will drive data models, warehousing architectures, and BI reporting, collaborating across teams to deliver robust analytics solutions.

The role is remote within the United States and requires 3–5 years in Azure data tools, with DP-600 certification planned within 12 weeks. Travel is up to 15% domestically.

Qualifications

• At least 3–5 years of experience with Microsoft Azure cloud solutions (Azure SQL, Data Factory, Synapse, Data Warehousing, or similar).
• At least 3–5 years of experience with Azure DevOps or CI/CD tooling and infrastructure as code (ARM, Bicep, Terraform).
• Experience developing dimensional and semantic data models, ETL patterns, and Lakehouse concepts.
• Understanding of high availability and disaster recovery for data solutions.
• Experience with unified data analytics platforms such as Fabric, Snowflake, or Databricks.
• Experience supporting production workloads and performance troubleshooting.
• Strong written and verbal communication, including technical writing and presentations.
• Willingness to complete DP-600: Fabric Engineering Associate within 12 weeks.
• Travel up to 15% within the continental United States.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and implement data infrastructure on Azure (Fabric, Data Lake, Databricks, Azure SQL Server).
• Build end-state data models and medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) to optimize performance and customer experience.
• Reengineer legacy SQL Server BI workloads to Azure ecosystem using Fabric, Synapse, Data Factory, or equivalent.
• Develop semantic models and Power BI reports with user-friendly, extensible analytics capabilities.
• Define and communicate requirements to stakeholders clearly.
• Collaborate across architecture, design, development, testing, and documentation through the full delivery lifecycle.
