Job summary

Sound Physicians is seeking a Clinical Support Specialist to provide administrative and operational support for remote physician advisors. This full-time, remote position operates Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, and involves case management, EMR navigation, and coordinating communications with payer and hospital partners.

The role emphasizes a proactive, customer-focused mindset with strong MS Office skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a remote, team-based environment.

Qualifications

• High School degree or GED required; equivalent experience considered.
• 2 years general business administration experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to facilitate appeal letter requests, including case creation, medical record prep, deadlines, printing and mailing letters, and payer outreach.
• Maintain access to client EMRs and review EMR training materials to navigate effectively; prepare PDF extracts for case review.
• Schedule peer-to-peer reviews between physician advisors and insurance medical directors.
• Resolve issues preventing case completion (missing information, access issues, etc.).
• Monitor and triage case requests to meet deadlines and assist in onboarding remote staff.
