Job summary

Calyxo, Inc. is seeking a Clinical Specialist to proctor CVAC procedures, train surgical teams, and provide clinical support across territories. The role emphasizes patient care, device knowledge, and collaboration with hospital staff to ensure safe, effective outcomes.

The position may span the territory or nationwide, with travel expected as needed. Ideal candidates will have relevant clinical experience and a willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Clinical experience such as scrub tech, X-ray tech, RN or BSN, or laser tech.
• Experience supporting perioperative care and instrument handling.
• Experience in training surgical teams on procedures and equipment.
• Experience travel across territory or nation as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical case coverage as assigned.
• Train the surgical team to assist in good patient outcomes during training.
• Maintain knowledge of perioperative surgical practice and hospital policies.
• Develop technical acumen to serve as an educational resource.
• Demonstrate professional interactions with hospital staff and providers.
• Prepare and maintain equipment/kits for surgery and perform QC audits.
• Troubleshoot equipment per standard procedures.
• Provide intraoperative clinical product support.
• Ensure inventory accuracy and reconcile usage and missing stock.
• Assist in physician and staff procedural training.
• Collaborate with Regional Clinical Manager and Territory Sales Manager on engagement and education.
• Support residency education and compliance with company policies.
