Job summary

Merck & Co is seeking a Clinical Research Manager to oversee end-to-end performance and project management for assigned protocols, ensuring ICH/GCP compliance and local regulatory alignment. The role may span multiple countries within a cluster.

Responsibilities include leading local study teams, coordinating cross-functional activities, and managing budgets and contracts when delegated. The position is remote with occasional travel and requires robust English and local language communication.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in clinical research.
• Bachelor’s degree in science (or comparable).
• Advanced degree, CRA experience preferred.
• 3+ years of Oncology experience and lung cancer studies preferred.
• Study management experience and cross‑country collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Main Point of Contact for assigned protocols and liaise between Country Operations and clinical trial teams.
• Plan, drive, and track study deliverables, timelines, and results to meet country commitments.
• Ensure compliance with ICH/GCP and local regulations; adhere to internal policies and quality standards.
• Review Monitoring Visit Reports and escalate performance or training needs as needed.
• Conduct quality control visits and support CRA managers and vendors as protocol expert.
• Lead local study teams, train local roles, and coordinate activities across country functions.
• Develop and execute local risk management plans for assigned studies.
• Ensure use of CTMS, eTMF, and other key systems in studies.
• Escalate challenges to TA Head/CRD or CTT as appropriate.
• Collaborate with outsourcing vendors, investigators, and external partners.
