Job summary

Merck in Rahway, New Jersey, is seeking a Clinical Research Manager to oversee end-to-end protocol performance in alignment with ICH/GCP and country regulations. You will drive feasibility, site recruitment, execution, and closeout, coordinating with Country Operations and the clinical trial team.

You will lead local study teams, manage risk plans, ensure CTMS/eTMF compliance, and collaborate with PV, Regulatory and GMA to align on key decisions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in clinical research.
• Bachelor’s degree in science (or comparable).
• Advanced degree (Master, MD, PhD) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as Main Point of Contact for assigned protocols and liaison between Country Operations and clinical trial team.
• Project manage assigned studies: plan, drive, and track deliverables to meet country commitments.
• Ensure compliance with ICH/GCP and local regulations, policies, procedures, and adverse event reporting.
• Review Monitoring Visit Reports and escalate performance or training needs to CRA manager or vendors.
• Lead local study teams, train protocol-related roles, and coordinate activities across country roles.
• Develop and execute local risk management plans and ensure CTMS/eTMF compliance.
• Collaborate with HQ and PV, Regulatory, GMA to align on decisions; interact with investigators.
