Job summary

Merck in Rahway, NJ, is seeking a Clinical Research Manager for end-to-end management of assigned protocols in a remote capacity. The incumbent will lead local study teams, manage risks, and supervise protocol execution from feasibility to closeout, with strong emphasis on communication and collaboration across functions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in clinical research.
• Bachelor’s degree in science (or comparable).
• Advanced degree, e.g., MD/PhD, preferred.
• Oncology and lung cancer study experience preferred.
• Study management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Main POC for assigned protocols and links between Country Operations and clinical trial team.
• Plan, drive, and track study deliverables to meet country commitments from feasibility to closeout.
• Accountable for protocol performance in country per ICH/GCP and local regulations.
• Reviews Monitoring Visit Reports and escalates issues as needed.
• Leads local study teams, trains protocol and coordinates activities across country roles.
• Creates and executes local risk management plans.
• Ensures compliance with CTMS/eTMF and other key systems.
• Escalates challenges to TA Head/CRD as appropriate.
• Collaborates with vendors, investigators, and external partners.
• Programmatic outsourcing lead for assigned protocols.
