Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Buyer to join our supply chain team in a remote role requiring residency in KY or IN. You will handle acquisition of standard products, equipment and services, manage PO creation, expediting orders, and follow-up on open orders within a service delivery center.

You will support Accounts Payable with discrepant invoices and assist facilities with bill-only POs, delivering high levels of customer service and contributing to supply chain excellence.

Qualifications

• Associate degree with one year experience or 3 years progressively responsible procurement experience in lieu of degree.
• Knowledge of medical/surgical supplies, equipment and services preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a diverse and operationally complex procurement environment with specific experience in supply chain management and/or purchasing.
• Demonstrated customer-centered attitude to the supply chain function and collaboration with clinicians and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and correct invoicing.
• Expedite orders, follow up on open orders and assist with non-catalog item sourcing.
• Identify alternate items and manage invoice discrepancies with vendors and facilities.
• Support end-user and department needs through proactive procurement and customer service.
