Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Buyer to join our Supply Chain Service Delivery Center. This remote role requires residency in KY or IN and focuses on acquiring standard products, equipment, and services for procedural, clinical, and non-clinical operations.

You will create POs, expediting orders, follow up on open orders, and handle non-catalog items while identifying alternate items and resolving invoice discrepancies to support timely invoicing.

Qualifications

• Associate degree with one year experience or 3 years progressively responsible procurement or customer service experience in lieu of degree.
• Knowledge of medical/surgical supplies, equipment and services preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a diverse and operationally complex procurement environment with specific experience in supply chain management and/or purchasing.
• Demonstrated experience in advancing a genuine customer-centered attitude to the supply chain function, and the capacity to incorporate that philosophy in user-friendly services working collaboratively with clinicians, physicians, and stakeholders in an interdisciplinary service environment.

Responsibilities

• Create purchase orders and ensure accurate entries.
• Expedite orders and follow up on open orders to ensure timely delivery.
• Process standard non-catalog item ordering and alternate item identification.
• Manage invoice discrepancies and support Accounts Payable.
• Facilitate bill-only POs and assist end-users and departments as needed.
