Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Clinical Practice Performance Consultant to work remotely in MD, focusing on provider performance, HEDIS, NCQA, CMS measures, and pay-for-performance initiatives. You will collaborate with Quality Field Operations and vendor partners to improve quality and reduce costs.

Responsibilities include SME leadership for HEDIS/State Measures, educational material development, onsite evaluations, and supporting providers with documentation and coding practice improvements.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted LPN or RN licensure in MD.
• 5+ years of clinical practice experience.
• 2+ years of quality improvement experience.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME for HEDIS/State Measures and educate providers.
• Collaborate at community events to improve quality and education.
• Identify barriers to care and develop local strategies.
• Perform onsite clinical evaluations and medical record audits.
• Assist providers with improving documentation and billing practices.
• Support member care continuity and refer to internal departments.
• Report quality concerns to the Quality Manager.
