Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a part-time Pharmacist for a fully remote role in the Supply Chain Center. Candidates must hold an active pharmacist license in Utah, Colorado, Montana, or Nevada, and will participate in a video interview and onsite meetings as needed.

This PRN position involves 8 or 10-hour shifts, with a focus on medication refill authorizations for primary care clinics across Intermountain. Strong clinical pharmacy experience and regulatory knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy or BS in Pharmacy from an accredited institution
• License to practice pharmacy in the state of practice and dispense controlled substances
• Current knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations and statutes
• Effective communication, people management, and project management skills
• Immunization certification if applicable to practice site needs
• Preferred: Board Certification and Health System Residency

Responsibilities

• Reviews patients’ medication orders for allergies, therapy duplication, and interactions; ensures safe, appropriate, cost-effective therapies and dispenses medications.
• Oversees timely preparation and delivery of medications to care areas; ensures proper storage and workflow.
• Completes regulatory and compliance training; adheres to state and federal pharmacy laws and policies.
• Proactively resolves issues related to equipment, drug availability, staffing, and patient care concerns.
• Identifies opportunities to improve processes to enhance patient satisfaction and safety.
• Supports clinic/hospital directives and leadership initiatives at local and enterprise levels.
• Participates in departmental meetings and provides constructive input.
