Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a licensed Pharmacist for a fully remote, PRN role in the Refill Authorization Pharmacy Team. The position supports primary care clinics by processing medication refill authorizations and ensuring timely access to prescribed medications.

Ideal candidates have active pharmacy licenses in UT, CO, MT or NV, strong pharmacotherapy knowledge, and a patient-centered approach. The role requires on-camera video interviews and onsite interviews as part of the process.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacist license in UT, CO, MT or NV.
• Remote work allowed but not in CA, CT, HI, IL, ME, MA, MN, NY, PA, RI, VT, VA, WA.

Responsibilities

• Reviews medication orders for allergies, therapy duplication, appropriateness, and interactions.
• Ensures timely preparation and delivery of medications to care areas; maintains secure storage.
• Completes regulatory training and adheres to state/federal laws and pharmacy policies.
• Takes initiative to resolve issues with equipment, maintenance, drug availability, staffing, and patient care.
• Identifies process improvements to enhance patient satisfaction and safety.
