Job summary

Mosaic Life Care in Missouri is seeking a CDI RN to perform basic to intermediate clinical documentation reviews, collaborating with physicians to ensure accurate coding and revenue integrity. You will review ICD-10-CM/PCS codes, assign DRGs, and participate in denial analysis and appeals.

Requires Associate Degree in Nursing, RN license, 3 years ICU/Critical Care, CCDS/CDIP within 2 years, strong communication, and ability to work with interdisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• 3 years of clinical ICU/critical care experience required.
• Experience in clinical documentation integrity functions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct basic to intermediate initial, concurrent and retrospective reviews of clinical documentation.
• Assigns and updates ICD-10-CM/PCS codes and DRGs; ensures accurate coding.
• Identify need to clarify documentation and query providers to capture accurate records.
• Review denial appeals with physician advisor; participate in mortality and quality reviews.
