Job summary

Life Anew Behavioral Health is hiring a Clinical Assessor / Counselor to support individuals and groups with behavioral health challenges. The role reports to the Director of Clinical Counseling and Assessment and involves in-person or telehealth sessions, 1x weekly, with treatment planning and progress reporting.

The position requires 2+ years in clinical counseling, strong documentation skills, and experience with Medicaid billing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in clinical counseling, case management, clinical documentation, accessing and utilizing community resources, diagnostics and treatment planning.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
• Experience completing Medicaid-billable progress notes.
• Strong communication and crisis management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling and support to individuals and groups experiencing behavioral health challenges.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to client needs.
• Collaborate with clients to establish treatment goals, objectives, and measurable milestones.
• Prepare accurate progress reports and documentation for stakeholders.
• Educate individuals, families, and groups on behavioral health conditions and treatment options.
• Facilitate referrals to healthcare providers or counseling professionals when necessary.
• Maintain Medicaid-compliant clinical documentation.
• Manage a caseload of at least 10 clients.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director.
