Waverly Health Center is seeking a skilled healthcare scheduler to support patient referrals, testing and procedures. You will coordinate appointments, communicate with patients and families, and ensure timely information flows to providers and insurers.

You will also teach patients, collaborate with nursing staff, and maintain accurate electronic records with strict confidentiality. Prior clinic experience and English fluency are required.

Formación

• 3–5 years of healthcare experience preferred.
• Previous clinic setting experience preferred.
• Ability to learn and navigate computer systems including online training modules, timesheet and performance appraisal systems.
• Must read, speak, and write fluent English.

Responsabilidades

• Schedule referral appointments for patients to specialists/agencies and testing/procedures; fax required information.
• Communicate appointment details clearly to patients in an understandable manner.
• Contact insurance companies to obtain prior authorization before procedures when required.
• Coordinate with patients, families, providers, outside agencies, and hospital staff about hospitalizations or clinic visits.
• Provide teaching to patients and families and adapt to language and style understood by all parties.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to maintain continuity of care for patients.
• Work with nursing staff to ensure continuity of care across services.
• Maintain patients’ electronic records and document timely while protecting confidentiality.
