Job summary

Progressive Insurance is seeking a claims adjuster – casualty litigation to manage complex commercial investigations, interpret coverage, and assess liability for multi-vehicle, high-injury claims. Remote work is available with occasional travel for meetings and training, with hybrid or office schedules depending on location.

You will direct counsel through litigation, engage experts, and negotiate through mediations, arbitrations, and trials while evaluating claims to mitigate risk.

Qualifications

• Six years of relevant work experience with three years in claims handling, OR
• Three years in claims handling and a bachelor's degree, OR
• Five years of relevant work experience with three years in claims handling and an associate degree

Responsibilities

• As a claims adjuster for casualty litigation, you’ll manage complex commercial claim investigations, interpret coverage, investigate liability, and handle claims involving multiple vehicles, competing claims, and significant injuries.
• You’ll direct counsel through litigation, engage experts, conduct negotiations including mediations, arbitrations, and trials, while evaluating claims to mitigate risk with potential travel required.
