Job summary

Hastings Insurance Company seeks a Claim Litigation Specialist to join our Legal team. You will investigate, evaluate, and resolve complex coverage and high-exposure claims across jurisdictions, managing an assigned caseload and developing effective claim and litigation strategies.

You will collaborate with insureds, claimants, attorneys, and internal stakeholders, negotiate settlements, and provide expert guidance on coverage interpretation, reserving, and litigation management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Minimum five years of progressive property & casualty claims experience; ten+ preferred.
• Strong knowledge of complex coverage, high-exposure claims, and settlements.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of complex coverage and high-exposure claims from investigation to resolution.
• Evaluate coverage and reserves, develop claim handling and settlement strategies.
• Collaborate with defense counsel, insureds, claimants, and attorneys to support litigation management.
