Zusammenfassung

TruStage is seeking a Claim Litigation Consultant II to independently investigate, evaluate coverage and liability exposures, and negotiate resolutions on large third‑party litigated claims. You will advise credit unions on risks and loss prevention and collaborate with claims and product experts to ensure consistent handling.

The role requires 7+ years of claims experience, strong communication, and the ability to work remotely. Some travel for mediations and trials is expected.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience is required.
• Minimum of 7 years of claims experience with a focus on litigation.
• Demonstrated knowledge of policy coverage and interpretation skills.
• Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication.
• Ability to work independently, including in a remote office environment.
• Strong experience in Microsoft Office Suite and web applications and general computer skills.
• Some travel required (mediations, trials and credit union visits).
• Decisions should be informed, confident and timely.

Aufgaben

• Proactively manage litigation process on assigned claims to investigate, evaluate, and negotiate to resolution.
• Decide when external resources will be hired to conduct claim investigations, expert analysis or provide legal services.
• Collaborate with Underwriting, Risk Management, Actuarial and Legal staff.
• Provide education and information to business partners and credit unions regarding risks and exposures, operations and efficiencies for credit unions and TruStage.
• Demonstrate interpersonal, leadership, negotiation, analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Provide timely reporting as dictated by claim handling guidelines.
• Understand applicable statutes, regulations and case law.
• Demonstrate knowledge of financial services operations.
• Handle claims in multiple states.
• Ensure maximum recovery or contribution are pursued.
