Job summary

TruStage is seeking a Claim Litigation Consultant II to independently manage complex third-party litigated claims for credit unions, negotiating resolutions and evaluating coverage while coordinating with internal teams.

The role requires strong analytical and negotiation skills, the ability to work remotely, and willingness to travel for mediations and trials; CPCU/AIC credentials are a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage litigation processes on assigned claims.
• Decide when external resources are needed for investigations or expert analysis.
• Collaborate with Underwriting, Risk Management, Actuarial and Legal teams.
• Provide education to partners and credit unions on risks and exposures.
• Produce timely reporting in line with claim-handling guidelines.
• Understand applicable statutes and case law influencing claims.
• Handle claims across multiple states and pursue maximum recovery.

Claim Litigation Consultant II will provide credit unions with superior claims service, building and solidifying a strong partnership through proactive professional consultation and delivering optimal solutions to meet their needs on third-party litigated claims. They will also offer consultation on credit union risks and areas for loss prevention as a result of litigation. Collaborate with other claims and product experts to ensure the consistent handling of commercial insurance claims and will be accountable for decision-making regarding the appropriate use of investigators, experts and outside legal counsel.
