Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer for remote engagement focused on utility-scale solar and battery storage projects. You will own civil and structural design from concept to IFC, ensuring schedules, cost, and constructability are optimized.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
Solar or power systems design experience on utility-scale sites.
EPC experience is a strong plus; exposure to civil engineering and EPC environments.

Responsibilities

Lead civil and structural design on utility-scale solar and BESS projects from preliminary design through IFC and construction.
Review grading, stormwater, drainage, roads, foundations, and racking for compliance and cost.
Serve as SME on civil and structural design including geotechnical considerations.
Run structured design reviews at 30%, 90%, and IFC milestones.
Identify and resolve design risks and gaps before field deployment.
Evaluate constructability and cost impact of design decisions.
Provide technical guidance to internal and external teams.
Collaborate with preconstruction, estimating, procurement, and operations on sequencing.
Coordinate with customers, developers, AHJs, and external firms for permitting.
