Job summary

GeoWorld seeks an Intermediate Civil Engineer Energy for a remote role based in Oak Ridge, TN. You will design, analyze and oversee infrastructure projects including nuclear facilities, interfacing with multiple engineering disciplines to ensure compliance with codes and client requirements.

Responsibilities include performing FEA-based analyses, developing layout plans, and coordinating design documents. A BS in Civil Engineering and 3+ years experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
• Experience in nuclear industry preferred.
• Familiar with ASME, ACI, ASCE and AISC codes.
• Knowledge of seismic and dynamic analyses.
• Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Tekla and Revit.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and oversee infrastructure construction and maintenance.
• Interface with mechanical, nuclear, operations and electrical teams for structural design.
• Apply codes and standards to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Perform engineering calculations including FEA and foundation analyses.
• Prepare design media and coordinate with designers per procedures.
• Support installation and testing of site systems.
• Work in multi-discipline project teams and meet schedules.
