Job summary

Ferguson is seeking a Civil Sales Engineer (Engineered Solutions Specialist) for the Geo Stormwater team. You will generate opportunities for engineered stormwater products within your territory by presenting to civil engineers, municipalities, and landscape architects to drive adoption in designs and programs.

The role is remote with regular travel within Texas and Louisiana; residence in the greater Houston area is preferred to support face-to-face meetings and site visits.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering degree or Engineering license preferred.
• 3+ years’ experience with innovative products in the Geosynthetics and Stormwater Management space preferred.
• Experience with technical writing including proposals, emails, and submittals required.
• Competent and engaging public speaker.
• Strong computer proficiency including Microsoft applications and navigating multiple software systems required.
• Basic Excel reporting experience (sorting, filtering, data).
• Salesforce CRM experience is a bonus but not required.
• Demonstrated relationship building, customer service and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and enhance Ferguson’s marketplace position to influence agencies, owners and specifiers.
• Increase awareness of Ferguson Geo/Stormwater products through tradeshows, conferences and meetings.
• Prepare and present technical presentations across geography.
• Research local green infrastructure codes to shape municipal strategies.
• Visit end users, engineering firms and contractors to expand product awareness.
• Coordinate and manage projects through the specification process with Regional Design Engineer/Technical Designer.
• Support national growth initiatives of Geosynthetics and Stormwater team.
• Assist contractors and municipalities with installation and maintenance practices of green infrastructure.
