Job summary

Pacer Group is seeking a Civil Litigation Associate to join its TX team. The role involves handling a broad range of complex litigation matters with significant responsibility from early stages through resolution.

You will manage all phases of civil and commercial disputes, draft pleadings, conduct depositions, and support trial preparation. Active TX Bar membership or eligibility is required; 1–7 years of relevant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–7 years of civil or commercial litigation experience.
• Strong legal writing, research, and motion practice skills.
• Deposition and court experience preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple cases independently with supervision.
• Active Texas Bar membership or eligibility to obtain.
• Experience in insurance defense, business litigation, or general liability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of civil and commercial litigation matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal briefs.
• Conduct depositions and assist in witness preparation.
• Handle court appearances, hearings, and case management conferences.
• Manage written discovery and e-discovery processes.
• Work directly with clients, experts, and opposing counsel.
• Support trial preparation and assist at trial as needed.
