Job summary

Pacer Group in Houston, TX is seeking a Civil Litigation Associate to join its growing practice. The role involves handling a broad range of complex civil and commercial matters with significant responsibility from early stages through resolution.

Ideal candidates have 1–7 years of civil or commercial litigation experience, strong writing, research and motion skills, and active Texas Bar status (or eligibility). Remote/Hybrid/Onsite work options may apply.

Qualifications

• Active Texas Bar membership or eligibility to obtain.
• 1–7 years of civil and/or commercial litigation experience.
• Strong legal writing, research, and motion practice skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases independently with supervision.
• Experience in insurance defense, business litigation, or general liability is a plus.

A growing litigation practice is seeking a Civil Litigation Associate to join its team in TX. The role involves handling a broad range of complex litigation matters with significant responsibility from early stages through resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal briefs.
• Conduct depositions and assist in witness preparation.
• Handle court appearances, hearings, and case management conferences.
• Manage written discovery and e-discovery processes.
• Work directly with clients, experts, and opposing counsel.
• Support trial preparation and assist at trial as needed.
• 1-7 years of civil and/or commercial litigation experience.
• Strong legal writing, research, and motion practice skills.
• Deposition and court experience preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple cases independently with supervision.
• Active Texas Bar membership (or eligibility to obtain).
