Job summary

Pacer Group in Seattle, Washington, is seeking a Civil/Commercial Litigation Associate to handle a broad range of complex matters from early stages through resolution. The role offers significant responsibility and direct client contact.

Candidates should have 1–7 years of civil/commercial litigation, strong writing and research skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases with supervision. Seattle bar membership or eligibility is required; insurance defense or business litigation experience

Qualifications

• 1–7 years of civil and/or commercial litigation experience.
• Strong legal writing, research, and motion practice skills.
• Deposition and court experience preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple cases independently with supervision.
• Active Seattle, Washington membership (or eligibility to obtain).
• Experience in insurance defense, business litigation, or general liability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of civil/commercial litigation matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal briefs.
• Conduct depositions and assist in witness preparation.
• Handle court appearances, hearings, and case management conferences.
• Manage written discovery and e-discovery processes.
• Work directly with clients, experts, and opposing counsel.
• Support trial preparation and assist at trial as needed.
