Job summary

PureSky Energy is seeking a civil engineer to lead site design, permitting strategies, and construction support for multiple distributed solar projects that bring clean energy to communities. You will oversee civil deliverables from feasibility through construction, coordinating with internal teams and external consultants.

Ideal candidates have 4–7 years in civil engineering, strong AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, and permitting knowledge, plus an EIT. This remote role supports U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required; Master's preferred.
• 4–7 years of civil engineering experience in renewables or utilities.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, stormwater models, and GIS.
• Knowledge of site development, grading, hydrology, and permitting.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and consultants.
• EIT required; PE preferred or in progress.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead site evaluations, feasibility studies, and civil design for community solar installations.
• Oversee site layouts, grading, drainage, stormwater, access roads, and erosion control.
• Manage civil deliverables through design, permitting, and construction.
• Serve as primary civil contact for project teams, consultants, and permitting agencies.
• Coordinate and review work of junior engineers and external consultants.
• Drive permitting strategy and prepare permit packages.
• Provide technical support during construction with site inspections and contractor coordination.
• Optimize designs balancing cost, constructability, env impact, and asset performance.
• Support continuous improvement of civil engineering standards and tools.
