Job summary

Clearway Energy Group is seeking a Manager, Environmental Construction to oversee day-to-day construction management for solar, wind, and storage projects, ensuring environmental compliance and permitting conditions are met in the field.

The role is remote with travel up to 70%, serving as the main link between site teams, EPC contractors, and the Environmental department to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in environmental construction and/or construction management in wind/solar energy
• Minimum 2 years managing environmental compliance scope or programs
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
• Knowledge of SWPPP implementation and biological clearance requirements
• Knowledge of environmental regulations related to renewable energy construction (e.g., CAA, CWA, SPCC) desirable
• Experience handling hazardous and non-hazardous materials in construction
• Strong analytical, scheduling, and budgeting abilities
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Willingness to travel up to 70%

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day construction activities across solar, wind, and storage projects
• Serve as primary liaison between field teams and Environmental department
• Oversee EPC contractors and subcontractors for performance and quality
• Lead pre-construction planning reviews including SWPPP and biological clearance
• Coordinate resolution of environmental issues with Environmental team
• Conduct regular field inspections and propose corrective actions
• Manage external consultants and budgets; review reports
• Track construction progress and environmental compliance status
• Enforce corporate construction and environmental policies and regulatory requirements
