Job summary

Coho Construction Management is seeking an experienced General Civil Engineer for a remote, on-call, part-time position with approximately 200 hours over six months. The role supports QA activities for a large federal client, providing SME input from concept through construction, with travel as needed.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of civil design experience, preferably with site improvements, and holds an active PE license. Security clearance is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Active PE License is required.
• Five years of civil engineering design experience is required.
• Experience with QA in federal projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support design reviews from concept through Issued for Construction (IFC).
• Perform QA surveillance and prepare QA reports.
• Perform onsite construction QA inspections and identify issues.
• Support development of scopes of work (SOW) for construction modifications.
• Review contractor cost proposals and change orders.
• Assist in review of construction contractor claims.
