Job summary

Go Fractional is seeking a Security Leader to build and operate a comprehensive internal security program for a fully remote organization with employees across multiple locations. The role will own devices, access, network and email protections, policies, vendors, and training, partnering with HR on onboarding/offboarding and collaborating with department leaders to improve security across the business.

Qualifications

• CISO or direct-reporting security leadership experience.
• Background in security operations within corporate environments.
• Experience securing fully remote teams across multiple locations.
• Designing security policies for devices, access, network, and email.
• Onboarding and offboarding from a security perspective.
• Experience evaluating third-party security, IT, and logistics vendors.
• Experience working with engineering teams on secure development and deployment.
• Ability to own and drive a security program independently.

Responsibilities

• Capture security knowledge from leadership and document existing practices.
• Audit device, access, network, and email security across departments.
• Conduct reviews with department leaders and individuals as needed.
• Design and document remote-work security policies (devices, access, network, email, travel).
• Define standard network access model with role-based access separation between departments.
• Protect sensitive information for traveling employees and safeguard financial data.
• Select and manage third-party providers for security, IT, and logistics.
• Build device onboarding and offboarding with HR, including equipment return.
• Review engineering security practices, including code storage, deployment, and use of personal devices.
• Evaluate and procure security vendors (email protection, network access).
• Communicate security strategy across the organization and manage resistance to change.
• Deliver security training during onboarding, run recurring workshops, and provide ongoing support after rollout.
