BitPay seeks a Chief Information Security Officer to lead security and technology initiatives for a fully remote US-based team reporting to the CTO. The role oversees IT operations, governance, risk, and regulatory compliance while guiding incident response and security programs across the company.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of hands-on security experience with at least 4 years in leadership, strong cross-functional collaboration, and a proven track record in governance and regulatory

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on security experience, with 4+ years leading teams.
• Experience with SOC 2 audits, regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of NYDFS Part 500, GDPR, NIST CSF, DORA.
• Experience securing remote work environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsabilités

• Develop and enhance information security program focusing on engineering and architecture.
• Own tactical execution of strategic direction of the information security program.
• Analyze business priorities and risk exposure to protect critical systems and data assets.
• Draft information security policies and procedures to meet best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Lead incident response, business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
• Manage information governance activities, including audits and third-party risk.
• Lead security committees and training across the organization.
