Job summary

Optum is seeking a Healthcare Revenue Cycle and Chargemaster Analyst to oversee chargemaster and charge capture processes, ensure compliant coding practices, and coordinate with Epic. The remote role supports nationwide telework with some in-office requirements for certain sites.

You will collaborate with finance, compliance, and IT to optimize reimbursements, improve cash flow, and reduce risk, while staying current with CMS updates and billing guidelines.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in billing, charging, Charge Master, coding or healthcare revenue cycle.
• 2+ years experience with CPT/HCPCS, UB-92 Revenue Coding, modifiers, billing regulations, and APCs.
• 2+ years of experience with Epic Software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee chargemaster and charge capture processes and coding guidelines.
• Coordinate with external vendors (e.g., EPIC) and internal stakeholders.
• Improve reimbursement, cash flow, and fiscal compliance.
• Ensure chargemaster updates align with pricing and coding changes.
• Analyze budget, net revenue changes, and labor impact of chargemaster changes.
• Disseminate CMS updates and ensure entity-specific changes.
• Collaborate with Compliance and Legal to address billing and coding issues.
