Job summary

Optum is seeking a Charge Capture - Coding Analyst to ensure accurate coding, charge capture, and revenue integrity for Cardiac Catheterization and Interventional Radiology services. You will collaborate with clinical, coding, and IT teams to implement compliant solutions.

The role emphasizes auditing, education, and process improvement while supporting remote work across the United States. A strong certification background and Epic experience are preferred to drive accurate reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Active coding certification through AAPC or AHIMA within hire date.
• 3+ years of healthcare coding, billing, or revenue cycle experience.
• Experience with Cardiac Catheterization and Interventional Radiology services.
• Proficient with CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, NCCI edits.
• Experience using Epic for coding review and revenue integrity.

Responsibilities

• Review Cardiac Catheterization, EP, and IR documentation, coding, and charge capture for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Perform audits of coding, billing, and charge capture to identify revenue leakage and risks.
• Research and resolve complex coding and reimbursement issues for Cardiac Catheterization and IR services.
• Stay current with CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, NCCI edits and payer policies; communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Serve as SME for Cardiac Catheterization, EP Lab, and IR coding and revenue integrity.
• Develop and deliver education on coding, documentation, charge capture, and compliance.
