Job summary

Advocate Aurora Health seeks a Chaplain to deliver holistic spiritual care to patients, families, and staff. The role includes virtual and in-person care, crisis support, and active participation in multidisciplinary teams.

The position requires a graduate degree in theology or religious studies, 3 years of clinical chaplaincy, and ACPE-endorsed credentials, with on-call weekend coverage and a remote 1st shift schedule.

Qualifications

• 3 years of prior clinical chaplain experience
• 4 units of CPE, at least three ACPE-accredited
• Endorsed by faith group; board certification eligibility within 18 months

Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual care and counseling to patients, families, and staff.
• Respond to codes, emergencies and crises; support families during illness and death procedures.
• Participate in department and site activities; provide site coverage including weekends/holidays; participate in committees.
• Mentor students in clinical pastoral education and provide feedback to supervisors.
• Offer virtual spiritual care via telehealth and manage virtual visit workflows.
