Job summary

The position requires a graduate degree in theology or related field, strong pastoral skills, and ability to work with diverse populations. On-call, travel, and potential overtime are expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in religious studies, theology, divinity or related field.
• Strong background in functional theology and pastoral application.
• Excellent communication skills with counseling techniques.
• Ability to identify clients’ needs considering diverse backgrounds.
• Experience ministering to those who are dying and grieving families.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic spiritual care to patients, families, and healthcare staff, including counseling and sacramental support.
• Assist during emergencies, guide families through illness and end-of-life processes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in care planning, education and ethics discussions.
• Mentor staff and contribute to departmental operations and community outreach.
• Willingness to travel to Advocate Aurora service areas and work on-call rotations.
