Job summary

Global Payments is seeking an entry-level chaos engineering-minded engineer to help design tests that reveal how systems fail and to implement remediation plans. You will work with DevOps and GitOps to automate and improve self-service capabilities, push systems to the next performance tier, and safeguard reliability across production and non-production environments.

Responsibilities include running game days, monitoring health, performance, and security, and assisting the Technical Operations

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or related field; no experience required.
• Basic knowledge of programming and Unix/Linux internals or networking.
• Willingness to learn DevOps and GitOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to chaos engineering efforts by designing tests to reveal how systems fail in theory and practice, and help formulate remediation plans.
• Use DevOps and GitOps practices to improve automation and self-service capabilities.
• Assist in running “game days,” monitoring health, performance and security, and troubleshooting infrastructure issues with the Tech Operations Team.
