Job summary

Maximus is seeking a remote, nationwide specialist to support human performance initiatives for SOF personnel. You will partner with product and project management to drive changes and communicate directly with clients, while developing robust change-management reporting.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s in a relevant field, multiple certifications, and a track record in multi-domain performance programming. The role emphasizes collaboration, data-driven decisions, and cross-functional teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of related professional experience.
• Master’s degree in exercise science, health science, physical education, or related field.
• Current professional certification in an applicable discipline (e.g., ATP, CSCS, PT, Cognitive Performance Specialist, or Performance Dietitian).
• Experience with multi-domain human performance programming.
• Working knowledge of strength and conditioning, performance nutrition, reconditioning, and team dynamics.
• Ability to work effectively in high-tempo, mission-driven environments with sound judgment.
• Strong written, verbal, organizational, data management, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product management to implement changes.
• Partner with project management to implement changes.
• Communicate directly with the client.
• Develop enhanced change management reporting.
• Train, mentor and coach less tenured change management analysts.
• Support the Human Performance Manager in planning training, guidance, and policy recommendations.
• Coordinate and oversee human performance services for SOF personnel.
• Maintain inventories of human performance supplies and equipment, and coordinate maintenance.
• Develop and distribute training materials; coordinate staff training and travel; promote interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Collect, analyze, document, and report performance data to leadership, including SPEAR entries.
• Support integration of service members and families into units and assist with deployment readiness.
• Collaborate with medical, psychological, cognitive, performance, nutrition, and family support professionals.
