Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required.
• At least 5 years of experience handling commercial general liability property damage and automobile claims.
• Significant supervisory experience with the ability to coach and develop professionals.
• Strong understanding of liability claims handling, property damage investigations, policy coverage, settlement practices, and documentation.
• Active insurance adjuster licenses required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a remote team of 5-6 adjusters handling non-litigated CG liability property damage claims, providing direction and oversight.
• Review claim decisions, investigations, coverage assessments, and settlement recommendations for accuracy and consistency.
• Review and edit position letters and other communications to ensure clarity and proper handling.
• Activate claims, monitor workloads, and enforce internal escalation and review processes.
• Collaborate with in-house counsel to interpret policy coverage and jurisdictional requirements.
• Evaluate evidence such as repair estimates, documentation, and expert reports to support liability assessments.
• Identify subrogation opportunities and potential fraud indicators, ensuring proper referrals.
• Provide guidance on escalated cases and support professional development and performance reviews.
