Job summary

WAHVE is seeking a Chief Financial Officer for Property & Casualty Insurance, available to work from home. This remote, long-term role targets senior insurance accounting leadership with GAAP and STAT reporting expertise.

Responsibilities include overseeing STAT/GAAP financial reporting, driving regulatory compliance, shaping the organization’s reinsurance strategy, strengthening controls, and modernizing platforms and processes for efficiency and scalability.

Qualifications

• 25 years of full-time work experience in insurance.
• 10 of the most current years in P&C carrier accounting with GAAP & STAT reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all STAT and GAAP financial reporting, ensuring accurate, timely statements.
• Lead regulatory compliance activities for insurance regulations and reporting standards.
• Develop and execute the organization’s reinsurance strategy and risk management.
• Strengthen internal controls, audit, and governance frameworks.
• Drive modernization of platforms and processes to improve efficiency and reporting.
