Job summary

WAHVE is seeking experienced Property & Casualty accounting professionals for work-from-home assignments as Accounting Manager. This remote role offers full or part-time schedules and benefits based on eligibility.

Responsibilities include leading daily accounting activities, month-end close, regulatory reporting, reinsurance administration, and process improvements. A strong GAAP/STAT background and 25 years of full-time work experience are required.

Qualifications

• 25 years of full-time work experience in insurance accounting.
• 10 most current years of Property & Casualty carrier accounting with GAAP and STAT reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day financial accounting activities for P&C carrier clients, including premium, claims, reinsurance, and GL accounting.
• Manage month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements per GAAP/STAT.
• Coordinate regulatory reporting and ensure timely jurisdictional submissions.
• Direct reinsurance finance administration including cash settlements and reporting.
• Evaluate workflows to improve efficiency, reporting quality, and governance.
• Support audits and regulatory reviews with requested materials and controls.
