You will lead capital markets, manage cash and liquidity, and shape the financial roadmap for M&A, partnerships, and rate-of-return improvements. This remote, full-time role offers equity-based shared success and a disciplined, AI-enabled finance function.

Qualifications

• Public-company CFO experience or equivalent senior finance role.
• Track record addressing investors, analysts, and lenders in tough times.
• Negotiated capital at tight funding windows, achieving favorable deals.
• Led transformative financial processes, including M&A and alternative value-creation options.
• Expertise in cohort, payback, and contribution-margin economics; native to DTC/ subscription models.
• Ability to drive cost reductions without stunting future growth; treats cash like personal assets.
• Built small finance teams that punch above their weight; favors AI agents over new hires.
• Motivated by shareholder value and world-impact, not just one or the other.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the CEO and board on strategy, capital allocation, and tradeoffs.
• Lead capital markets and investor relations, including guidance, earnings announcements, SEC reporting.
• Manage cash, liquidity, and capital structure; maintain lender relationships.
• Develop financial strategy for M&A, partnerships, and scale-transformation opportunities.
• Collaborate with growth and operations on CAC, payback, margin, cohort retention, and subscription dynamics.
• Drive cost-control and capital-discipline initiatives to fund growth.
• Lead a lean, AI-native finance team with clear development paths.
• Oversee SOX compliance, controls, and audit readiness.
