Job summary

Rand Simulation, a Rand Worldwide unit, is seeking a CFD simulation specialist for remote work across the United States. You will lead simulations for client projects and provide pre-sales support while collaborating with the sales team to guide technology choices.

You will stay abreast of Ansys platforms, deliver training, and help clients realize ROI from Ansys tools, with strong emphasis on fluid dynamics and numerical methods.

Qualifications

• M.S. or PhD in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or similar.
• 3+ years of industrial/design experience related to fluid systems.
• 3+ years of CFD methods with proven Ansys Fluent/CFX experience.
• Strong understanding of fluid dynamics and thermodynamics.
• Solid understanding of numerical methods and their impact on modelling.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
• Professional CAD experience in SolidWorks/Inventor/SpaceClaim.
• Desire to stay current with Ansys platforms and training.

Responsibilities

• Act as lead on consulting projects and run simulations for clients.
• Provide technical pre-sales support throughout the sales process.
• Interface with Rand Simulation sales teams to provide technical guidance.
• Analyze client needs, infrastructure, and workflows to propose simulation solutions.
• Ensure on-time and in-budget delivery of project deliverables and demos.
• Articulate Ansys value around fluid dynamics and related tools.
• Provide ANSYS training and mentoring to clients; support ROI realization.
