Job summary

Mindrift is seeking a CFD-focused engineer to help train AI agents on expert-level fluid simulation tasks. You will take CAD geometry, set up and run simulations, build verified reference solutions, and write Python checks to validate agent results.

Required are degrees in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (PhD preferred) with several years of industry or research CFD experience using OpenFOAM, Fluent/CFX or STAR-CCM+.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field (energy or oil & gas)
• PhD preferred but not required
• Several years of CFD experience with OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent/CFX or STAR-CCM+ including meshing
• Solid verification and validation practice: mesh-independence studies and validation against experiments or benchmarks
• Comfortable with Python and GitHub
• English at B2 level or above
• Nice to have: aerospace, automotive, offshore or turbomachinery background; multiphase or particle-laden flow experience
