Job summary

Rand Simulation is seeking a CFD simulation specialist with strong Ansys software knowledge for remote opportunities across the US. You will lead simulations on client projects, support pre-sales activities, and help clients adopt Ansys solutions to improve design decisions.

Requirements include an advanced degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering, 3+ years in CFD, and proficiency with Ansys Fluent/CFX and CAD tools. Travel up to 15% may be expected.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with emphasis on fluid dynamics or related fields.
• 3+ years of industrial and design experience related to fluid systems.
• 3+ years of CFD experience.
• Proven experience using Ansys Fluent and/or CFX.
• Solid understanding of fluid dynamics and thermodynamics.
• Solid understanding of numerical methods, convergence stability and discretization.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD: SolidWorks, Inventor or Ansys SpaceClaim.
• Willingness to travel up to 15%.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) preferred, not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Act as lead on consulting projects with responsibility of running simulations for clients.
• Provide technical pre-sales support throughout the sales process.
• Interface with Rand Simulation sales teams on Ansys software opportunities to provide guidance.
• Analyze prospect and customer needs, and propose simulation solutions.
• Ensure on-time and in-budget delivery of project deliverables and demos.
• Articulate Ansys value around fluid dynamics and related products.
• Provide ANSYS training and mentorship to clients for ROI of the technology.
