Job summary

Rand Simulation is seeking a CFD simulation specialist to lead simulations for clients, provide technical pre-sales support, and guide the use of Ansys software in advisory projects. The role is remote in the US and requires strong CFD expertise and client-facing skills.

Ideal candidates have an MS/PhD in mechanical or aerospace engineering, 3+ years in CFD, and experience with Ansys Fluent/CFX, SolidWorks or Inventor. A PE license is preferred but not mandatory, with up to 15% travel.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with emphasis on fluid dynamics, heat transfer, or numerical methods.
• 3 years+ of industrial and design experience related to fluid systems.
• 3 years+ of experience in CFD methods, including Fluent/CFX.
• Understanding of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics and numerical methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead on consulting projects with responsibility of running simulations for clients.
• Provide technical pre-sales support throughout the sales process.
• Interface with Rand Simulation sales teams on ANSYS software opportunities to provide technical guidance.
• Analyze client needs and propose simulation solutions.
• Ensure on-time and in-budget delivery of project deliverables and demos.
• Provide ANSYS training and mentoring to clients.
