Job summary

Lifted, an Upwork Company™ is seeking experienced CFD and Aerodynamics Engineers to design AI-evaluation tasks using OpenFOAM. You will craft clear problem statements, develop scoring checkers, and provide verified reference solutions for challenging, realistic scenarios.

Remote, independent contractor role with flexible hours (10–39 per week) and weekly payments. Qualifications include a aerospace/mechanical degree and strong fluid mechanics knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Hands-on OpenFOAM CFD experience.
• Strong fluid mechanics, aerodynamics and heat transfer knowledge.
• Experience with mesh generation, turbulence modeling, boundary conditions.
• Ability to write clear, verifiable engineering problems.
• Excellent written English communication.
• Independent, self-motivated and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Design CFD and aerodynamics tasks that evaluate AI models' engineering reasoning.
• Create clear problem statements covering boundary conditions, mesh quality, and setup.
• Develop deterministic scoring checkers to objectively evaluate AI outputs.
• Produce verified reference solutions for task solvability.
• Review and refine tasks for clarity, accuracy and difficulty.
• Apply OpenFOAM to develop practical engineering scenarios.
• Work independently in a fully remote, asynchronous environment.
