Job summary

Lifted is seeking experienced CFD and Aerodynamics Engineers to help design and evaluate AI-driven engineering tasks. You will create clear, solvable problems covering boundary conditions, mesh quality, flow regimes, and simulation setup, with emphasis on real-world applicability.

This fully remote freelance role offers flexible scheduling (10–39 hours per week) and pay between $80–$110 per hour, with weekly payments via Upwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in aerospace or mechanical engineering.
• Hands-on experience with OpenFOAM for CFD.
• Strong knowledge of fluid mechanics, aerodynamics, and heat transfer.

Responsibilities

• Design CFD and aerodynamics tasks to evaluate AI models' engineering reasoning.
• Create clear and technically accurate problem statements covering boundary conditions, mesh quality, flow regimes, and simulation setup.
• Develop deterministic scoring checkers to objectively evaluate AI-generated responses.
• Produce verified reference solutions to ensure each task is technically accurate and fully solvable.
• Review and refine engineering tasks to improve clarity, physical accuracy, and appropriate difficulty.
• Apply real-world OpenFOAM-based scenarios to develop practical and realistic engineering tasks.
• Work independently in a fully remote, asynchronous environment with complete scheduling flexibility.
