Job summary

Bestica is seeking Certified Medical Coders II to deliver remote coding and billing support for government projects. Candidates should have 3+ years of experience and hold relevant HIM education or certifications. The role emphasizes accuracy, CMS guidelines, and timely documentation.

We offer a remote work arrangement with flexible hours to accommodate client needs and project timelines. A strong understanding of ICD-10, CPT, and payer policies is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 3 years of experience as a Certified Medical Coder.
• Associate's degree or higher in HIM/Health Administration or a related field, or a university certificate in medical coding, or equivalent coursework.
• Professional coding certifications such as CPC, RHIT, RHIA, CCS-P, COC, CEMC, NAMAS CEMA or similar are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote medical coding and billing support following CMS/MAC guidelines.
• Coordinate with practices/providers to improve coding documentation and timely submissions.
• Participate in startup and ongoing project meetings to ensure smooth go-live and effective collaboration.
