Job summary

Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance is seeking a Certified Coder to join our capable coding team. You will review medical records to assign CPT-4, ICD-10 and HCPCS codes aligned with documentation and payer policies.

The ideal candidate holds CPC or CCS-P certification, has at least 1 year of coding experience, and demonstrates strong medical terminology and anatomy knowledge. Residency in Middle TN preferred; TOA conducts background checks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year coding experience.
• CPC or CCS-P certification required.
• Strong working knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Review and abstract patient records to assign diagnoses and procedures.
• Ensure coded services align with documentation and payer policies.
• Educate providers on results of audits and coding practices.
