Candidates should hold CPC/COC/CIC/CCS/CCS-P/CCA credentials and complete a credentialed coding program. Minimum of a high school diploma; associate degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical Diploma or Associate Degree in Healthcare, Healthcare Information Management or Administration, or related field preferred.
• Certification in Coding (CPC, COC, CIC, CCS, CCS-P, or CCA) required.
• Credentialed Coding/Abstractor education program completed.
