Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Senior Certification Operations Manager to lead the planning, development, launch, and retirement of professional certification programs. You will manage certification operations, vendor relationships, and cross-functional activities, ensuring a consistent candidate experience and on‑time program delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Education, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in certification operations, credentialing programs, or related field.
• Experience with certification tools and testing providers (preferred: Pearson VUE, Credly, Alpine Cert Metrics).
• Experience managing external vendors or service providers.
• Experience managing multiple projects or programs across cross-functional teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee certification programs throughout lifecycle: planning, development, launch, maintenance, recertification, retirement.
• Develop and maintain roadmaps, release schedules, project plans, and processes.
• Coordinate activities across internal teams and external providers.
• Monitor milestones, deliverables, risks, and performance.
• Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and consistency.
• Align certification programs with product, business, and market requirements.
• Manage vendor relationships, contracts, SLAs, budgets, and performance metrics.
• Coordinate activities across multiple vendors to meet timelines and quality requirements.
• Track vendor performance and address issues and escalations as needed.
• Oversee certification operations systems, credentialing platforms, and related processes.
• Ensure policy updates are implemented across systems and processes.
• Support audits, appeals, and certification policy inquiries.
• Provide candidate support, including inquiries about exam registration and scheduling.
• Develop and maintain candidate-facing procedures and FAQ documentation.
