Job summary

ClickHouse is seeking a Senior Certification Lead to own and expand its certification program for engineers and database developers, including performance-based exams and quizzes.

You will collaborate with SMEs, write job task analyses, maintain exams, and build a community of ClickHouse certified professionals through events and social channels.

This role requires 5+ years in technical certification, SQL, ClickHouse knowledge, and experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in certification in the technical software industry.
• Experience with SQL and databases for cert exams.
• Technical breadth: DBMS, OLAP, Cloud/SaaS, distributed systems.
• Experience developing certification exams and quizzes for engineers.
• Technical degree in CS or related field.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, support, product and development teams.

Responsibilities

• Developing performance-based, hands-on ClickHouse certification exams on use cases like real-time analytics, observability and data warehousing.
• Working with company SMEs to create job task analyses for exams.
• Grading and maintaining all certification exams, including writing grading scripts.
• Writing and deploying quizzes for ClickHouse credentials.
• Establishing a community presence for ClickHouse certified professionals via social media and events.
• Tracking and reporting on metrics of the certification program.
• Coordinating with vendors to ensure delivery of exams and badges.
• Handling customer support from learners interested in certifications.
• Traveling occasionally to meetups and conferences to promote ClickHouse.
